Born in Dublin and a childhood spent in the remote north - west coast of Ireland has no doubt influenced my passion for the landscape, and living in Derbyshire where there is a wealth of wild rugged landscape to inspire any painter.

I studied Fine Art at the University of Derby as a mature student graduating in 1999 and since then I have had paintings included in exhibitions in London, Birmingham and the Midlands and have had commissions for commercial premises. Inspiration is also drawn from my travels holding watercolour workshops for Saga cruise ships and is a brilliant opportunity to see the world and meet people who also enjoy painting.

In February 2011 I travelled to South Africa to join the ship for the West Coast of Africa which was an amazing cruise followed in June by a cruise to the Mediterannean and a Christmas cruise to the Canaries ended 2011. In February 2012 I travelled to Borneo to meet 'The Spirit of Adventure' for a months cruise in the Far East visiting Brunei, the Philippines, Hong King, China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok. Later this year I hope to be joining 'The Quest for Adventure' in Nova Scotia for a month which will take us from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Havana in Cuba.
